Subscribing to this blog is easy, fun and free. When you subscribe you’ll be notified every time a new blog comes out, usually once a week, usually on Thursday. (That’s why we call it “500 Words on Thursday.”) There are two ways to subscribe. First, the email list.
THE 500 WORDS EMAIL LIST
It’s no problem for us to send you an email each week. The email has a short introduction to what we’re writing about on that particular week and also includes some news. To get the weekly email, all you have to do is type your email address in the field below and hit the Go button. We’ll take care of the rest.

RSS
Another way to subscribe is by using an RSS feed. Maybe you’ve wondered what those little orange buttons are that you see on websites. They’re RSS buttons. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
When you click on the orange button you are offered the option of subscribing to the content in a reader. It sounds a little complicated at first, but it’s actually like creating a magazine for yourself of all your favorite blogs, web pages and newsletters. The reader will show you when they’re updated and you can read them at your leisure.
Google Reader works well and we also like feedly, which creates a magazine look for all your stuff if you use Firefox. But if you don’t want to worry about all that, just click on the orange Subscribe button and you’ll be walked through the process.
That’s all there is to it! Either way, you’ll get great content delivered to your screen and you won’t miss any of the week’s 500 words. Thanks for giving it a try.
